Business Development Manager

Their mission is to deliver superior quality, reliability, and expertise in every project we undertake.   Position Overview:   We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our clients sales efforts in the UK market. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and a deep understanding of cleanroom technologies and their applications across different industries. They will be responsible for driving sales growth, building and maintaining client relationships, and providing technical expertise to support the sales process.   Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets. Identify key market segments, industries, and potential clients for cleanroom solutions. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Generate leads through various channels including networking, referrals, cold calling, and digital marketing initiatives. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends. Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Understand their specific needs, challenges, and requirements related to cleanroom facilities. Provide tailored solutions and technical guidance to address client needs effectively. Technical Consultation: Utilise engineering expertise to understand the technical aspects of cleanroom design, construction, and operation. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet or exceed their specifications and compliance standards. Proposal Development: Prepare comprehensive proposals, quotations, and presentations outlining the scope of work, project timelines, and cost estimates. Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with client expectations. Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiation efforts to finalise contracts and agreements with clients. Ensure terms and conditions are favorable to the company while meeting the needs of the client. Coordinate contract review and approval processes in collaboration with legal and finance teams. Sales Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor sales activities, pipeline progression, and performance metrics. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales forecasts, achievements, and areas for improvement. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, project management, marketing, and customer support to deliver seamless and integrated solutions to clients. Share market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably within the cleanroom or controlled environment industry. Strong understanding of cleanroom technologies, HVAC systems, filtration, and contamination control principles. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels. Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach and problem-solving mindset. Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools. Willingness to travel within the UK region as needed.   Competitive Salary and Package on offer dependant on experience
