We are excited to offer the role of Operations Administrator within a thriving family business in Ipswich. This role is not only office-based but also includes managing offsite events, some of which may occur over weekends. It's a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is eager to expand their skill set and take on a variety of responsibilities, all while being supported by experienced department heads.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the business, managing telephone calls, emails, and reception visitors with a welcoming and professional attitude.
  • Process and manage customer and website orders, ensuring customers are kept informed and coordinating with production for timely dispatch.
  • Organise and communicate with transport services for order delivery, addressing any issues or delays that arise.
  • Maintain office supplies, manage filing systems, and perform general administrative tasks to promote office organisation and efficiency.
  • Provide support to the directors and assist with various tasks across the business.
  • Oversee and update social media accounts, responding to queries promptly and posting company updates.
  • Represent the company at tradeshows and customer visits, which will include occasional offsite events and some weekend commitments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A proactive self-starter with a creative and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proven experience in customer service and administration.
  • A collaborative approach to building relationships and working within a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to attend offsite events, including some that may take place over weekends.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary of up to GBP27,000 per annum.
  • Standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week but flexibility will be required when attending events.
