Role Profile: Contract Financial Accountant
Reporting to: Group Finance Manger
Location: Windsor

Job Scope:
The assigned role entails assisting in the financial reporting process within the department. With the aim of achieving real-time accuracy and efficiency, the incumbent will collaborate closely with the Group Finance Manager in updating and executing robust balance sheet processes. The primary objective is to rectify historical discrepancies, liaise with auditors to supply the requested information, and ensure timely submission of finalised year-end accounts by the 31st August. This role demands a dynamic individual with sharp problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex financial landscapes effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
v Compile comprehensive audit schedules for statutory accounts by gathering financial data and collaborating with relevant departments, ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
v Review, analyze, and address auditor queries promptly, maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to deadlines for timely submission.
v Perform reconciliation tasks involving large volumes of data, including complex accounts such as finance leases and impairment tests.
v Preparing and posting correcting journals for multiple companies.
v Working with colleagues across the business to investigate and resolve queries.
v Preparing ad-hoc analysis and contributing to special projects
v Partnering with colleagues at all levels and taking an active role to effectively communicate status and improve the standard of reporting.
Requirements:
v Qualified accountant, or close to completing ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
v Experience with external audit procedures.
v Proficient in reconciliation tasks with complex accounts.
v Strong communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with auditors and internal stakeholders.
v Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
v Ability to work independently and meet deadlines efficiently.
v Excellent Excel and general IT skills
v Experience of Sage 200 is desirable but not essential.
v Ability to work in the UK and to receive a clear DBS check.
