An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a senior engineer to develop their safety, reliability and engineering skills to influence aspects of technically sophisticated products. The team influence systems throughout the product life cycle, giving first hand experience working with military partners.

The Opportunity:

• Balance time and cost constrains to ensure a convincing safety or reliability case is constructed for customer satisfaction
• Optimise the effort dedicated to safety assurance, balancing safety against lethal attributes of complex weapon system
• Ensure optimum effort is dedicated to progressive reliability assurance, with the goal of delivering an effective reliability programme
• Work in a team of strong pedigree in the delivery of safety and reliability
• Have the opportunity to work internationally and develop deep understandings of the involved technologies.

Requirements:

• Detailed understanding and experience of hazard analysis and safety evaluation processes, and how that integrates with the systems engineering process
• Ability to deliver supporting information
• Experience of reliability planning, analysis and testing during development
• Proven knowledge of the application of systems engineering processes
• Good knowledge of electronic systems
• Ideally degree qualified or equivalent
