Job title:          Outdoor Education Support Worker Location:         Belmont Secondary School, Rawtenstall Hours:             37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary:             £18,832.35 per annum **(This salary is NOT subject to pro-rata and is the full amount before tax)** Contract:         Permanent, Term Time Only Due to growth in service, we are looking for an Outdoor Education Support Worker to join our team at Belmont Secondary School. About the role As an Outdoor Education Support Worker, you will contribute to raising standards of student attainment. To encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their full potential. To develop and enhance the social, emotional and behavioural development of our students. To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students within the school. Supporting pupils with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs is important and rewarding work, and you will benefit from the tremendous support offered by our hugely experienced teams. As you help our pupils and young people achieve real and significant progress, you will enjoy having a direct, positive impact on their developing lives. Duties: Support students with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties within the spirit and practice of the school’s ethos and the SEN Code of Practice; Contribute to the Safeguarding ethos in school by adhering to the school’s safeguarding policy and procedures; Promote Citizenship and British values; Participate in planned activities daily throughout the academic year. The vast majority of these will carry a physical element and will be outdoors including in inclement weather; Our next Outdoor Education Support Worker will be someone who has: GCSE's grade C/4 and above in English and Maths Outdoor Education Qualifications Full UK Driving Licence and the willingness to travel Please note: Any applications without a Driving Licence or not fully completed including employment history will be rejected.
