£20,551 - £21,247 per annum (actual salary)

We are seeking to appoint a Technician for Art & Design Technology to be responsible for the effective day-to-day resource management of the Art and Technology rooms and ensuring the efficient preparation and delivery of equipment and teaching materials for all Art and Design Technology lessons. The postholder will ensure that Health and Safety legislation is adhered to, that operating procedures are monitored to ensure best practice and that personal protective equipment is used where appropriate.

We are ideally looking for candidates who have experience of working as a Technician or similar role, ideally in a school/educational environment. They will have experience of working with and maintaining equipment and organising ingredients, along with a knowledge of basic food preparation techniques. They will have a good knowledge of Health & Safety practices and a good level of computer literacy, including MS Word and Excel.
