Maintenance Engineer - Electrical / Mechanical Technician: Our client is a prominent player in the UK manufacturing sector, with a dynamic and flourishing business model and a robust presence in the industry.

Salary: 42,500 - 45,000 and pension. Day shift.

Location: Blackburn, Darwen, and the surrounding areas.

Previous Job Titles (not an exhaustive list): Mechanical Engineer, Plant Fitter, Maintenance Technician, Fitter, Service Engineer.

Previous Industries: Heavy Industry, Quarry, Construction, Recycling, Industrial Services, Demolition, Aggregates, Mining, Landfill, Manufacturing, MRF, Waste Management, or any sector involving large static or mobile plant equipment.

Role - Maintenance Engineer - Electrical / Mechanical (70/30 Split):

As a Maintenance Engineer with a 70/30 split between electrical and mechanical expertise, your responsibilities will include:

Conducting servicing and breakdown repairs on various equipment, such as conveyor systems, hydraulics, compressors, pumps, valves, pneumatics, and shredders.
Striving to enhance equipment performance, utilization, and availability.
Ensuring strict compliance with company policies.
Experience - Maintenance Engineer - Electrical / Mechanical (70/30 Split):

To excel in this role, you should ideally possess:

Proficiency in hydraulics, pumps, and compressors.
Ideally, completion of a recognized apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or General Engineering, or holding a suitable qualification (City and Guilds, NVQ, ONC, HNC, HND, or Degree) in a related discipline.
Electrical bias with some mechanical experience.
Health and safety qualifications like NEBOSH or IOSH would be advantageous.
Previous Industries: Heavy Industry, Quarry, Construction, Recycling, Industrial Services, Demolition, Aggregates, Mining, Landfill, Manufacturing, MRF, Waste Management, or any sector involving large static or mobile plant equipment.
