Sales Account Manager


Bennett and Game are currently working with a highly successful wholesale courier business who are actively seeking a Sales Account Manager / Business Development Manager to join their Slough location.

Our client has been established for over 40 years and are now one of the largest independent Linehaul networks in the world. This is a great opportunity for a proven sales / commercial professional to join an innovative business going from strength to strength.

Sales Account Manager - Position Overview

  • Identify and develop new strategic opportunities in ecommerce parcel and cross border logistics with particular focus on Asia, India, Australia, and the rest of the company network.
  • Working with Head Office on social media initiatives to drive best practice.
  • Cultivating new relationships within new prospects and turning raw concepts into compelling business opportunities for both parties.
  • Managing customer relationships beyond implementation with periodic business meetings.
  • Negotiating commercial terms and conditions with new and existing customers
  • Working closely with the General Manager in rolling out the UK strategy - supporting in building of case studies, decks, social media posts and customer promotions.
  • Become a thought leader in all things Cross border courier and mail logistics.
  • Become 'fluent' in all thing's hub-ez and be a proponent of the platform to ensure internal stakeholders see value in this business tool - as well as position strongly to prospective customers.

Sales Account Manager - Position Requirements

  • You will have at least 2 years of experience in a Business Development position in the Courier/E-commerce/Exports International sector.
  • Experience with multiple selling techniques and experience in long and sometimes complex sales cycles.
  • You own your work: independent, proactive, and hands-on with a focus on results.
  • You can prioritise and use a pragmatic approach while having great attention to the finer details - being a perfectionist in how the company brand is positioned to the market.
  • You will have a strong network of prospective eCommerce/Courier customer connections.
  • Extensive experience in reaching out 'cold' to prospective eCommerce/Courier customers with the ability to establish a natural easy rapport at 'first touch'.

Sales Account Manager - Position Remuneration

  • Basic salary - 40K - 55K DOE
  • Car allowance of 300 a month and mileage paid
  • Commission Structure on top of salary
  • Office/Field based role (Hybrid working)
