Clinical Support Team Administrator Hours * Full time * Flexible working 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday between the core hours of 8am - 5pm) Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust provides child and adult mental health services, learning disability, wellbeing, older people's and eating disorder services across Norfolk and Suffolk. At any one time, around 23,000 people in Norfolk and Suffolk are receiving care and attention from the Trust. Job overview Do you have the experience and drive to fulfil the role of a Clinical Support Administrator? We have an exciting opportunity to join our successful team of administrators based in Woodlands on the Ipswich hospital site. Lark ward is our PICU unit and provides care and treatment for men in the most critical time of their mental health recovery. The team offers a more intensive service than other inpatient wards and we also provide care for patients detained under section 136 of the Mental Health Act. The role will be partially based on lark ward supporting our Medics and Clinicians and also working across the Woodlands as part of the wider admin team. This position would be ideal for somebody looking to progress their skills in a fast paced role with lots of learning opportunities. The service is a 24 hours service, although this admin role will cover Monday to Friday between the core hours of 8am - 5pm. Main duties of the job In this role you will attend Multi disciplinary team meetings and patient reviews, work with professionals, carers, family members and patients to ensure a good high quality standard of care. The successful applicant will also be part of the wider admin team and will be trained to help cover reception and patients finance when required. We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic, and energised with a positive, can do, attitude with good communication and organisational skills, high quality typing and computer skills are essential. Your role will involve a wide range of tasks from minute taking, attending patient meetings, typing up reports, audio typing, inputting and collecting data, audits, updating our clinical database in the correct way to support data reporting. Creating clinical letters. The role will also include answering the phones for the teams, and cross covering other areas supporting the wider admin team. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria * Pitman/RSA III Typing / Word Processing or equivalent secretarial experience at intermediate level. Desirable criteria * Knowledge of Trust electronic record system Experience Essential criteria * Understanding and experience in a full range of secretarial procedures and systems gained through practice at intermediate level * Ability to work with senior members of staff across a large organisation Skills Essential criteria * ICT skills including Microsoft (especially spreadsheets and presentations, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent. * Excellent articulate communication skills * Interpersonal skills including taking a proactive diplomatic approach and ensuring confidentiality at all times. Other Essential criteria * Able to work flexibly across a range of different sites/offices
