Sales Account Manager - North of UK & Scotland


Title: Sales Account Manager Territory: North of UK & Scotland Duration: Permanent Our client is looking for Sales Account Manager to promote the client’s catalogue to the life science community within the assigned territory. Responsibilities: * Customer facing visits to meet sales objectives * Planning visits & follow up (from home or office) * Achieves sales targets for territories * Be the main representative for conferences, minis and exhibition attendance within territory * Record all activity on the CRM database and ensure that all quotations, samples and information requests are followed up to completion * Attend Sales & Marketing Meetings – providing input into activity & targets * Attend Supplier product training as necessary * Provide customer feedback, market intelligence and recommendations to the sales and marketing team * Prospect & qualify potential customers through telephone, e-mail and face-to-face meetings * Attend national events outside of territory as necessary * Ensure that expenditure is in line with budget * Develop a comprehensive sales plan for increasing sales at key accounts and other customer sites which have potential for targeted sales growth * Conduct technical and sales presentations to customers at Conferences and Seminars * Perform wet laboratory demonstrations of key technologies where appropriate and when competent Requirements: * A PhD or equivalent on a Life Sciences or related discipline * Experience in laboratory techniques * Willingness to work within a commercial/sales environment * Holds a clean UK drivers licence
