Technical Service Manager


CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Technical Manager.to support a multi-million pound contract based in Kent. Role Summary: You will be providing leadership, management, and development of Technical Knowledge within the Contract. To ensure statutory compliance is delivered and maintained, that Statutory PPM forward plans are in place & completed in SLA. In addition, you will ensure projects/small works support are delivered to meet time and budget requirements and to meet or exceed client expectations. Key Responsibilities 1. Provide leadership in identifying and specifying maintenance opportunities and in delivering contractual commitments on secured works. 2. Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of the maintenance programme are discussed to deliver increased performance of both resource and machinery. 3. To deliver projects to completion on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties, expectations to be exceeded wherever possible. 4. To identify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise) associated with the contract 5. Ensure compliance with CBRE Managed Services management policies and procedures. 6. Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both CBRE Managed Services and subcontractor's activities, and are regularly reviewed. This will include the timely delivery of a Health and Safety file for the works and full compliance with CDM regulations where required. 7. To build strong relationships with sub-contractors, in particular preferred suppliers, to ensure cost effective solutions which meets our quality expectations can be delivered to our clients whilst managing the risk and ensuring back to back terms and conditions. 8. Working with other Operational & Project managers to ensure the collaborative development of the business with effective team working and support of colleagues. 9. Development of project financial plans. 10. Ensure positive cash flow through the up-front agreement of a relevant payment schedule and the submission of timely invoices/applications for payment. Ensuring all debt is controlled below 60 days. 11. Manage the delivery of works within agreed budget requirements. 12. Ensure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met. 13. Ensuring a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts and the Norland site teams/managers to identify improvements and opportunities. 14. Promoting and maintaining the core Values of CBRE Managed Services. 15. Delivering effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate. 16. Supporting the sales process through solutions development, participation in presentations and consultation meetings
