Job Title: Personal Assistant Location: St Pancras Hospital, NW1 0PE Hours: 37.5 (Monday to Friday, 9-5) £16.55ph Trust Location: Camden and Islington’s NHS Foundation Trust This is a temporary placement, lasting up to 6-months. What you’ll be responsible for: 1. Liaise confidently and courteously with all levels of staff within the Trust, including Executive Directors, Clinical Directors and Assistant Directors, external organisations, and individuals as necessary. 2. Co-ordinate and arrange meetings as requested, ensuring up to date information is given to relevant members of staff. To pre-empt collation of agendas and distribute prior to meetings as required. 3. Operate a ‘bring forward’ system, printing relevant papers in advance of meetings. 4. Take and transcribe clear and concise minutes at various meetings as required, ensuring these are promptly distributed. 5. Take messages where necessary and act as the first point of call for the designated senior managers in their absence, taking appropriate action as required and ensuring that any urgent issues are brought to the attention of an alternative Director / Manager or senior member of staff as appropriate. You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust: 1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS 2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times 3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation You’ll have the following skills/experience: 1. Significant PA/Secretarial experience at Senior Manager level. 2. Experience of planning and organising meetings and minute taking. 3. Experience of dealing with highly sensitive and complex confidential information. 4. Advanced level of MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) 5. Experience of working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and the internet, utilising high level IT skills to produce required content. This role may require you to show evidence of education at degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience.
