Technical Services Manager

Client: We are currently working with a fit out and refurbishment contractor who has grown steadily since the Covid Period. They operate within the commercial, education and hotel sectors taking on a range of bespoke projects. Typical Project values range between £1m and £8m all are within Central London and the Home Counties. They are seeking a TSM to lead multiple projects from tender stage through to handover. Role: Technical Services Manager – London – Day Rate: Between £350 - £450 Per Day The successful candidate will be overseeing multiple Cat A/B fit out/refurbishment projects from bid through to handover. Responsibilities: 1 Tendering Understanding the job * Review of tender documents – Internally * Understand tender - Externally * Focus on services and interfaces * Site Visit / Approval/ Incumbent Subs * Subcontractor liaison and due diligent of their tenders * Project tender return tech submittal Pre-Construction * Programme review and planning * Design tracker / procurement and drawings * Design responsibility matrix * Tech sub and RFI submittals * Contractor Proposals * Pre-start supply chain meetings and minutes * Input to logistic plan * Sustainability awareness Construction / Onsite * Monitor Pre-con in line with Construction Programme * Workshops for key areas, minute and record, with time related actions * Bench mark/ Holdpoints/samples * MEP project meeting Client/Subs/Internal minutes * Monitor progress against programme * Commissioning programme, commissioning prioritisation/ordering Commissioning handover * Commissioning tracker * Subcontractor delivery and handover packs * Witnessing/signoff * O&Ms & building user guides * Client training & familiarisation The ideal candidate will have: * 5 years’ industry experience * Good general knowledge of building services engineering systems and their implementation. * Good communicator
