We are based in a quiet rural location between Cambridge and Royston in the village of Newton on our own private estate built around a grade 2 listed hall. The site is easily accessed with plenty of free parking. Creche and nursey facilities are available on site.

We are an export led business and produce equipment for the manufacture of optical fibre which is used to power the internet.

Our equipment specification is constantly evolving to meet customer requirements and this results in varied and interesting engineering projects.

Senior Test Engineer

Salary: GBP37,500

• Minimum 5 years experience of system and subsystem testing.
• Subsystem test of electrical control panels and systems
• Integration into the overall machine and final machine test
• Mechanical alignment and set up.

Experience of:

• Distributed control system using PLCs (Allen Bradley) communicating over Ethernet IP- Temperature control systems
• Pressure control systems
• Motion control using servo motors/stepper motors
• Fluid control systems

This role requires a hands on approach and a willingness to travel for installation and commissioning of equipment at customer sites, both in the UK and abroad.
