Job Description Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance team at our Spalding site.  As Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be responsible for maintaining and recording accurate records of invoicing for the business.  Maintaining and promoting good working relationships with internal stakeholders and offering a high standard of customer service. As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the overall success of the business, and will report directly to the Purchase Ledger Supervisor. This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm offering a competitive salary and package with the opportunity to work for a forward thinking market leader. Job responsibilities of Purchase Ledger Clerk include: Post, code and input all incoming unapproved invoices. Distribution of unauthorised invoices to relevant managers within the business to various depots. Matching of invoices to purchase orders. Processing of all returned approved invoices. Posting of payments and journals. Answering all telephone enquiries in a professional and informative manner. Reconciling supplier’s statements with ledger accounts. Filing/scanning. Chasing managers for overdue invoices by a variety of communication methods. Generate weekly/monthly payment runs when required. Ad hoc work as and when required.
