Senior Business Systems Analyst

Senior Business Systems Analyst My client is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst, who will work as a key part of their software development team to design and support bespoke commercial systems for the electricity and gas industries. The role covers a full scope of software development activities including requirements gathering, system design (front-end user interface work and back-end database/process work), testing and customer support. This will enable you to take personal responsibility for most of the lifecycle tasks from concept to fully-formed product using both waterfall and agile methodologies. In addition, you will also provide support and direction to less experienced members of the team. The role provides opportunities to enhance your skills through learning the complexities of the utilities sector by engaging with (and influencing) senior industry bodies and analysing industry issues that impact our software. Key requirements for this role are: * A minimum 2:2 degree in a STEM subject * A minimum of 10 years' commercial experience in software development with at least 3 years' experience working in a company focused on software development * Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving abilities * Exposure to both front-end and relational database design (including use of SQL) on Unix/Linux In accordance with the Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, this position is advertised based upon DGH Recruitment Limited having first sought approval of its client to find candidates for this position.
