All About the Role: We are looking for a CAD Technician to join our team, this is a great opportunity to become part of an integral team who are operating in a high volume, fast paced environment. This role is not a design role, it’s an end-to-end customer focused delivery opportunity, balancing between interpreting, creating & producing digital drawings & 3D models from the customers specifications & requirements to aid in the programming of our profiling machines. We are looking for the right individual to help drive the company forward and be part of this exciting time for the business. Specific tasks could include: Programming for profiling machines such as lasers & saws Producing digital drawings & 3D models from the customers specifications & requirements Minimising waste & scrap per program. Essential Skills for the role: Excellent verbal, written & numeracy skills. Experience as a CAD Technician in a similar heavy industry environment, ideally within the steel industry Expertise in Solidworks and ideally Artube Lasertube Programming Software Must have confident computer skills & a good understanding of Microsoft Applications with excellent attention to detail. Good organisational skills including the ability to manage time and prioritise effectively. A positive flexible attitude and approach.
