Rights of Way and Access Support Officer Exmoor House, Dulverton, Somerset (with hybrid working and travel across the National Park to visit sites) Salary of £14,576 - £15,587 per annum (pro rata full time equivalent £24,294 to £25,979) This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual with an understanding of technical plans and documents, and the ability to read maps, to join our organisation. The Role As a Rights of Way and Access Support Officer, you will provide technical support to the Access and Recreation Team and volunteers. This varied role will not only see you supporting rights of way and access, but supporting volunteer programmes, such as our Path Watcher scheme, and assisting in vital activities such as Public Path Order work. Alongside data collection and record keeping, you will also update our website and play a key role in producing communications for our events programme. Additionally, you will: - Support a range of service review and improvement projects - Act as joint Secretary for the Local Access Forum (LAF) - Liaise with external bodies to assist and obtain new information About You To be considered as a Rights of Way and Access Support Officer, you will need: - An understanding of technical plans and documents, and the ability to read maps and work with numerical data - The ability to follow technical guidance and procedures - The ability to speak to customers from a wide range of backgrounds in a professional manner - Educated to HND level or equivalent The closing date for this role is 19th April 2024.
