Merchandiser

Location:  BD4 6HN Division:  Commercial Contract Type:  Permanent – Salaried As a Merchandiser you'll manage all key financial Merchandising KPI’s across Planning, Trading & Forecasting. A customer facing role you will maintain, develop and contribute to the profit plan for a specified area of responsibility and ensure all stakeholders have the right information, at the right time to facilitate right first-time decisions across product, finance and supply planning.  You'll taking the customer data and insights and marrying this with sales data, you’re central to creating the opportunities for each customer business plan to achieve their profit potential across national accounts.   Working closely with your Customers, Supply Chain, Product and Range you’ll ensure the right information is available at the right time to ensure the seamlessly delivery of product to store when it’s needed.   The merchandising specialist in your customer team your main responsibilities include: Account planning including sales plans, customer budget and SKU level decision making activities  Evaluating financial factors including assumptions and suitable contingency plans Forecasting across all elements whether total business, account, caption or line level Stock allocation requirements to deliver the customer plan whilst minimising stock exposure Top line trading analysis for forward planning and identifying risks & opportunities Facilitate the optimum range selection process through your analysis and insights  Develop strong cross functional relationships to ensure all interventions / activities are delivered in the most effective & profitable way Drive efficiencies, improved ways of working and increased profit across your customer accounts Central to the team, you’ll use your knowledge of the retail landscape, customer objectives and consumer shopper insights to crunch the numbers and make profitable, timely decisions for the short-, medium- and long-term impact.
