Stockyard Team Leader


Stockyard Team Leader * Hours: Rotating Days (6am - 2pm) and Afters (2pm-10pm) * Salary: £33,000 Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities of the Stockyard Team Leader: * Plan and organise daily activities including structuring the team’s individual responsibilities (taking into account holidays and absence) * Ensure completion of tasks and ensure good performance whilst motivating and coaching the team * Operate all MHE within the stock yard * Manage and undertake the loading and unloading of customer and supplier vehicles * Ensure all customer deliveries (loads) are accurately compiled & checked against the order * Undertake quality inspections, cycle counts and PI counts as directed by the Yard Manager * Undertake the investigation of stock discrepancies and / or damages * Deputise in the absence of the Yard Manager * Ensure product stored within the stock yard complies fully with health & safety & 5S principles The ideal person for the role of Stockyard Team Leader: * Great communication and interpersonal skills * Able to deal with arising issues and solving them in an appropriate and timely manner * Ability to work flexibly, with the needs of the business * A good level of education * A minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing a team * Full working knowledge of all aspects of the logistics process * Working knowledge of manpower system * Leadership and Management qualification * Experience in dealing with broad HR issues * ILM accreditation or willing to work towards it If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with your full CV or feel free to phone the office to discuss the role.
