Maintenance Manager

A1 jobs are in the market for a Maintenance Manager on behalf of our client in the Falkirk area. The ideal candidate would have management experience in an Industrial setting.

This is a day shift position 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Duties

• Ensure the Maintenance team is managed in line with standards and Health & Safety legislation, including the safe use of tools, machinery and equipment and training on safety equipment, PPE, and procedures.
• Ensure all plant maintenance and inspections are carried out and recorded per the company and manufacturer instructions and procedures and that any maintenance or repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Evaluate systems and processes to determine preventative maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
• Control, manage and update the on-site CMMS.
• Develop maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
• Carry out team toolbox talks in line with company requirements and standards.
• Supervise the team daily, including staff planning, motivation, and discipline and identify basic training requirements for staff and propose training plans to the Site Manager. Decide what tasks to allocate to the Maintenance team based on daily priorities.
• Through good communication, ensure all team members understand their duties and delegated tasks.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of risk assessments and Safe Systems of Works.
