Job Title:          Instructor and Assessor of Building and Construction Location:          Belmont Secondary School, Rawtenstall Salary:              £24,000 - £26,000 per annum Hours:              37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Contract:          Fixed Term ending 31.12.2024, Term Time only UK applicants only. We are recruiting for an Instructor and Assessor of Building and Construction to join us at Belmont Secondary. About the role  To be fully conversant with City & Guilds 6219 qualification and its delivery structure. To work in partnership with the Vocational Manager and the QAC (Quality Assurance Co-ordinator) to ensure that all key stage 3 and 4 learners have a high quality of learning experiences and are appropriately supported to reach their full potentials. To assess and internally verify pupil and Assessor’s work. To promote excellence in professional practice with all staff, to ensure the smooth running of the vocational department and its resources. To work effectively and co-operatively with all staff.    To ensure the needs of SEN pupils are met and ensure the schools strong behaviour structure is fully implemented. To act as the Lead Assessor for the team and to ensure that all the assessments are in line with City & Guilds criteria and requirements as well as with national and school requirements. To teach and deliver City & Guilds units which enable our learners to gain quality qualifications. To work with the Vocational Manager, on the day to day running and delivery of the  Main Tasks and Responsibilities. To provide academic leadership in the Building and Construction Department (BCo) designing appropriate programmes of study to ensure learners gain appropriate qualifications. To plan the daily sessions to ensure the smooth running of the course. To direct and work with the other Assessors with their daily roles and responsibilities. To support curriculum development under the direction of the Vocational Manager across the team. Must have previous building and construction experience!
