Commercial Gas Engineer

Commercial Gas Engineer required for our client, a specialist M&E Contractor. The Commercial Gas Engineer will be providing installation and maintenance for systems across the Kent- Medway- London area.

The Commercial Gas Engineer will have proven experience working with commercial boilers and plant rooms, holding Commercial Gas qualification & tickets.

Expected salary will be circa 48k / 52k plus call out bonuses, overtime, company vehicle, uniform, pension, laptop etc

Position Overview

• Providing service and install to commercial boilers and associated systems
• Experience in systems, pressurisation, pumping essential
• Emergency work (overtime available)
• Extensive knowledge of Gas Safe compliance (IGEMS/British Standards)
• Extensive experience in Boiler/combustion servicing, fault identification and repair works across a variety of sectors including MET Police, the Private Sector & Schools
• Attendance to callouts during working hours and in addition, be part of the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota
• Utilising our job management system, by completing and submitting clear concise, accurate reports for works carried out, further work required and gas compliance certification
• Good communication to ensure regular communications with the FM helpdesk and Contract Manager on the relevant job progressions
• Calorifiers inspection/de-scaling
• Valve maintenance
• Legionella
• Training and technical assistance to other engineers

Required qualifications/ skills cards

A minimum of COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, CCN1, CENWAT

Knowledge of a variety of Commercial/Domestic appliances and maintenance

Extensive experience in commercial fault finding and rectification

Good all-around knowledge of heating systems, fixed electrical systems & controls/BMS

DBS Required CSCS Card (Gold and above)

First Aid Trained (preferred but not required)

PASMA and IPAF (preferred but not required)

Full Clean Drivers License

This position requires individuals that have previous experience and can work with limited supervision. You must be able to work well as part of a team.
