Project Engineer - CIVILS

As they continue to expand and enhance operations, we are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities will include;

- Ensure the health and safety standards are upheld at all times.

- Provide suitable design solutions ensuring the safest practicable option is selected.

- Lead and participate in HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA and other relevant risk identification and reduction activities related to CAPEX projects.

- Ensure projects are conducted in accordance with all H&S requirements including CDM regulations, suitable and sufficient RAMS are provided for all tasks and suitably trained and qualified staff and contractors are used.

- Track project expenditure against budget and provide spending forecasts.

- Produce and update the project programme to track timescales.

- Evaluate additional costs or works required.

- Produce monthly progress reports for projects.

- Manage contractors during the design, tender and construction phases.

- Produce CAPEX papers detailing the business case and seek relevant approvals.

- Read, interpret and appraise engineering drawings.

- Write engineering specifications, technical and tender documentation.

- Develop appropriate engineering solutions to suit business requirements.

- Produce P&IDs, Plant & Equipment Schedules along with other relevant project documentation.

- Provide motivation and direction to the team by encouraging and supporting the achievement of goals through coaching, feedback, recognition and role model the right behaviours aligned to our values

- Identify the strengths and development areas within the team, support the team to plays to its strengths and develop the team in line with company values to maximise employee performance.

- Lead the team in a way which builds morale and generates ownership by involving others.

- Demonstrate accountability as a leader/manager, a passion for diversity and inclusion and support team wellbeing in all aspects of the role and teams.

Qualifications & Experience

- HND or Degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject

- Relatable engineering work experience.

- Experience managing engineering projects.

- Full driving license.
