Social Worker (Hospital Team)


You may also be needed occasionally to support onsite at Queen Alexander Hospital in Portsmouth. As a qualified, registered Social Worker you'll be confident completing assessments and developing plans for onward care, managing multiple cases at a time. You'll enjoy building strong relationships with colleagues and collaborating with a range of other professionals, using your expertise to achieve timely onward moves.

As no two cases are the same, you'll enjoy a diverse caseload and have the opportunity to really stretch your social work skills. Dealing with a broad spectrum of complex issues, your sound understanding of our legal obligations will support your decision making.


You'll use a strengths-based approach to make confident decisions, even where there is uncertainty. With an understanding of how our services are structured, you'll really enjoy using a proactive problem-solving approach to achieve successful outcomes.

We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Social Workers, as we can support you through your Assessed and Supported Year of Employment. However, candidates must have graduated and be registered with Social Work England before applying.

Travel Requirements


You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire or other local authorities, and it is essential that you have a current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
