Graduate Materials Engineer (R&D) £32,000 - £35,000 + Training + Potential for Progression + Private Pension (11%) + Bonus Increasing Yearly up to 10% Uxbridge, Middlesex **No sponsorship offered for this role unfortunately** Do you have a BSc or MSc related to Materials Engineering / Metallurgy, seeking a pivotal role, within a cutting edge R&D department, working as a crucial part of a global team, where you will receive excellent training and development, and the opportunity to collaborate on revolutionary projects within a globally renowned organization? Are you looking to work with major OEM's, with a global manufacturer at the forefront of low carbon automotive materials and technologies? You will be in a key role, in the materials team, contributing towards highly influential projects The company is a widely recognised Tier 1 supplier to leading OEM's in the Automotive sector, dominating global markets. They are 12,500 strong across the globe, with manufacturing plants across all continents, and multiple sites in the UK which are primarily focused on research and development. You will be responsible for supporting the development mechanical joining and adhesive bonding of next generation automotive aluminium alloys, including recycled alloys for application to a range of projects, including crash management and Electric Vehicle lightweight structures (training will be provided). Liaising with the design, industrialisation and prototyping teams, as well as PhD students from other research centres, you will play a key role in supporting selection of fasteners, joint design and performance, within and R&D environment.
