We are working exclusively for our client, an established and reputable family-run agricultural engineering business in Grantham who are seeking a Service Manager on a full-time basis to join their busy Service team. This role is available immediately. This role is perfectly suited for a passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated worker who's currently working as a Service Manager within the agricultural sector or working as a Service Technician looking for promotion to the role. You will be responsible for a team of individuals within a multi-franchise and busy Service Department. The standard working hours are Monday – Friday 07:30 – 17:00 and Saturday mornings 07:30-12.00. In addition to that you will be required to work additional hours during peak months or when the business demands it. In return my client is offering a competitive salary with a quarterly bonus scheme, plus holiday of 22 days in addition to public bank holidays, cashback health scheme and a pension contribution of 3%. Key Responsibilities:- - Liaising with Customers to understand the technical problem and devising the proposed solution; - Preparing estimates on Workshop jobs for customers; - Planning and allocating daily jobs to Workshop staff; - Supervising repairs in the Workshop and on Farm; - Supervising Trainee Staff; - Maintaining detailed log and full history on new machinery; - Collating and preparing manufacturer warranty claims working alongside Office personnel; - Liasing with manufacturers service engineers; - Liaising with the Sales Department on work required; - Liaising with the Parts Department on parts required; - Management of workshop parts orders and queries; - Preparing all workshop sales invoices at each month end; - Working alongside the Office team preparing month end reporting; and - Management of workshop tooling and equipment. The successful candidate must have the following attributes and dispositions:- - Experience of working in a busy Service Department within the agricultural sector; - Excellent communication skills and a self-starter; - Excellent communication skills and a self-starter; - Excellent problem-solving skills and solution driven; - Excellent customer relationship skills; - Confident with face-to-face customer interactions and over the telephone; - Good computer skills with experience of working with manufacturer parts, service and warranty systems. - Experience of JCB and Merlo Telehandlers a bonus but not essential.
