Role:               Head of Adult Protection & Safeguarding Manager Based:            West Yorkshire Salary:            £40-45,000 pa Hours:             37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday Start Date:      ASAP Duration:        Permanent Holiday Entitlement: 25 days + Bank Holidays Are you passionate about safeguarding vulnerable individuals? Our client, a respected charity who provide support, advocacy and safe housing to survivors of Domestic Abuse, Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, is searching for a dynamic Safeguarding Specialist to join their passionate team! Synopsis of duties: As a key member of the senior leadership team, you'll spearhead the development and implementation of robust safeguarding policies and procedures. Provide expert guidance and oversight on safeguarding matters Support management in the production of robust risk assessments Represent the organisation at various forums and events including sitting on committees and boards Manage partnerships and ensure legal compliance Oversee team management and support staff development Develop and deliver training sessions Write and present presentations Essential Requirements: Possesses extensive knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety practices Demonstrates empathy, resilience, and dedication to supporting vulnerable individuals Excels in communication and collaboration, both internally and externally Is committed to continuous learning and professional development Degree level education or equivalent Specialist training in the Safeguarding Arena is desirable Demonstrable experience in managing teams and working in multi-agency environments Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively A commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and equality is essential Ability to manage crisis, conflict, safeguarding and complex case situations.
