Wind Turbine Technician (Siemens 1.3) Technology


Deutsche Windtechnik are looking for a new Service Technician (Onshore Wind) who is located in or around one hour drive from the City Centre of Inverness, Scotland. At Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills within the UK Onshore Wind Industry. You will be responsible for the routine preventative maintenance of the Siemens 1.3 & Siemens 2.3 wind turbines, mechanical, electrical, gearbox and hydraulic systems. Unscheduled maintenance, retrofits, emergency breakdown, and major component exchanges are also key responsibilities. We are looking for Technicians who are striving to work their way up to an Authorised Technician and then on to a Team Leader within the Onshore Wind Operations Team. Does it sound interesting? As a minimum, the candidate should have or be working towards: · Relevant formal qualifications minimum SVQ/ NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical etc) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry · Ideally two years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment e.g. wind farms, power stations, industrial process plant or similar heavy engineering maintenance environments · Valid UK driving licence.
