Join our team as a Business Development Manager in Hazardous Waste and Technical Sales. In this role, you'll be instrumental in expanding the business through new client acquisitions while applying a consultative technical approach to secure deals. While the primary focus is on new business development, you'll also have the opportunity to cultivate existing accounts and maximize revenue generation. Your role will encompass selling a comprehensive range of hazardous waste services, including chemicals, liquids, tankers, oils, sludge, pharmaceuticals, and more, to industries such as manufacturing, engineering, automotive, heavy industry, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Key Responsibilities: Proactively pursue new business opportunities with a hands-on approach, including site surveys and potential laboratory sample analysis. Develop and optimize existing client relationships to drive revenue growth. Offer a consultative approach to effectively close deals in the hazardous waste sector. Target a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, engineering, automotive, heavy industry, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and production. Experience Required: Essential experience in hazardous waste management. A proven track record of successfully achieving and exceeding new business sales targets. Demonstrated stability in previous professional roles, with a history of face-to-face sales success, such as B2B door-to-door canvassing, advertising sales, retail sales management, car sales, or non-hazardous waste management sales. Candidates with or without a Chemistry qualification should have technical sales experience in sectors like Hazardous Waste Management, Drummed Waste, Paints, Powder Coatings, Water Treatment, Chemicals, Industrial Services, Laboratory Equipment, Life Sciences, or related fields. Knowledge of hazardous chemical properties, including storage, labelling, and handling, is required. Familiarity with the local area and contacts within the designated region is ideal.
