Senior Building Surveyor

With a portfolio of exciting projects across the residential and education sectors, this is the perfect opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor to take their career to new heights. As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying services to a diverse range of clients. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of building surveying, including project management, contract administration, dilapidations, building inspections, and providing professional advice on a variety of property-related matters. You will be a pivotal member of the team, working closely with clients, colleagues, and contractors to ensure exceptional project delivery. Responsibilities: Managing and leading building surveying projects, from inception to completion Conducting building inspections and producing detailed reports Assisting with the preparation of feasibility studies, condition surveys, and dilapidation assessments Providing professional advice and guidance on building regulations, health and safety matters, and construction-related legal matters Monitoring construction progress, overseeing contractors, and ensuring compliance with project specifications Leading client meetings, building and maintaining strong relationships Mentoring and providing support to junior surveyors Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or a related field MRICS qualified A background in residential and/or education is desirable Strong building surveying and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Sound knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and construction-related legislation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain client relationships Full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally when required On offer for the Senior Building Surveyor: Salary £55,000 - £60,000 Pension (4.5%) Private medical insurance Life assurance (4x annual salary) Hybrid working Flexible working Next steps: Click apply today and our dedicated Surveying and Project Management recruiter, Max Condie, will contact you to discuss the details of this opportunity in more depth
