Finance Assistant Required Job Type: Contract initially (could lead to long term) Start date: Immediate Industry: Maintenance Location: Stoke Salary: £12-£13.50 per hour + holiday pay JOB DESCRIPTION: Finance Assistant required for a Facilities Management company based in Stoke. This is working on a large commercial site and will be reporting to the Commercial Manager. This is initially a temporary role however could lead to a long term position for the right candidate. Must have financial experience for this role. The working hours for this role are 7am - 3.30pm, 8am - 4.30pm or 8.30am - 5pm depending on preference. (40 hours per week). Daily responsibilities will include: Liaising with off site Financial and Commercial departments as required Take receipt of invoice, check validity of invoice (i.e. Does it match the order in description, value and order number references), confirm works have been completed / goods have been received, obtain management authorisation to process, enter invoice details onto Commitment Accounting database. Investigation of invoice queries as required. Action Supplier / Subcontractor invoice and payment queries, liaising with Managers / Supervisors / Other Staff where required. Provide weekly / monthly / annual financial information as requested. Education, Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience working in financial administration Strong computer skills - Excel & Word Excellent communication skillsThis is initially a temporary role however could lead to long term.
