Our automotive OEM Client based in Dunton; Essex in the United Kingdom are searching for a Vehicle Architecture Development Engineer join their team. This position is confirmed as GBP22.32 per hour, Inside IR35 and therefore will be subject to full PAYE tax. Details of this can be provided on request.

This is a 12-month contract with possibility of extension. The working pattern is 37 hours per working week and our Client are open to hybrid working discussions.

Position Description

This is an opportunity for a Vehicle Architecture development Engineer to be responsible for establishing and delivering the fundamental layout of vehicles including the mechanical arrangement with geometrical compatibility. Vehicle Architecture are the first engineering team involved in the programme and involvement continues to Job and beyond.

Skills Required

• Excellent project and people management skills, with tenacity in resolving issues.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills; ability to interface with senior management.
• Ability to resolve complex, multi-dimensional problems and present solutions with clarity.
• Knowledge of FEDE, PLM, CAE, CAD, Auros - E2KS and Digital Buck tools including Vismockup desirable.
• CATIA abilities, desirable.

Experience Required

• Delivery of vehicle programs.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle variants / configurations preferred.

Education Required:

• Degree in Engineering discipline.
