Service Engineer

Service Engineer – Electrically biased - Home based - UK & Ireland - £40k + overtime + car/car allowance (£5500) + bonus = £60k+ package Samuel Frank is recruiting a Service Engineer to cover the UK & Ireland. We are looking for Service Engineers with excellent electrical knowledge who are skilled in motors (fault finding), low voltage instrumentation, loop controls, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting. Key aspects of the Service Engineer role include: * Previous/current experience of working as a travelling Service Engineer * Good electrical knowledge with experience of motors, low voltage instrumentation, loop controls, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting * Ideally have some PLC fault finding experience * Perform testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment * Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues * Flexibility to work weekends and travel for occasional large jobs * Ability to work independently and in a team environment * Willingness to participate in ongoing training to further develop your skills and knowledge * Provide technical support to customers on site and remotely * Occasionally respond to emergency call-outs and resolve issues in a timely manner * Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure equipment is operating at optimal performance * Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge * x1.5 overtime pay on Saturdays and x2 overtime pay on Sundays. * All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship Ideal places to live, in terms of reasonable travel time to most customers – North West, Lancashire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, East Midlands, Cheshire, Liverpool, Warrington, Manchester, Leeds, Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield, North East, Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham.
