My client are specialists in asset finance. They assist UK-based companies of any size in almost any sector, offering flexible finance agreements to suit businesses in a range of circumstances. They are one of the UK’s leading Commercial Finance Broker’s, writing over a quarter of a billion pounds of finance last year alone. With a 15 year track record, the business continues to grow from strength to strength. They were a finalist for the 2018 SME National Business award for their services in business loans, hire purchase, lease finance and refinancing. Due to expansion and growth they are looking to hire a Graduate Finance Broker. Yu need strong academics. Some sales experience but you will be fully trained. Our client is looking for driven grads and existing Account Managers looking to develop their sales skills in a fast-growing and dynamic commercial finance brokerage. You’ll need to be commercially minded and able to develop and maintain excellent client relationships. Role of the Finance Broker: This is a dynamic role with opportunities for promotion as early as 6 months in, depending on performance. You will participate in the firm’s Broker graduate development programme; sitting 1-on-1 with a Senior Sales Director or Executive Broker Manager. Through this direct training you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the suite of finance products available to their customers, the transaction process for each product from initial contact, through to underwrite and payout, as well as training on regulatory standards. Initially the role will involve prospecting for new business, either through supplied qualified leads or direct calling potential customers, alongside developing and maintaining ongoing customer, supplier and client relationships. As you progress, you will be given more responsibility to manage deal flows and pipelines on your own account. This role is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop your sales abilities in a leading UK commercial finance brokerage. Your first 18 months may look like this: * Months 0 – 3: Outbound calling, learning the ropes, understanding lenders, financial terms and the sales process. * Months 3 – 6: Developing your sales techniques, understanding customers, gathering information for finance agreements. * Months 6 – 9: Further development of your sales skills, learning to progress small agreements, drafting credit papers and making finance proposals, liaison with customers, lenders and equipment suppliers. * Months 9 – 18: Dependant upon your ability and progress you will learn to close your own sales agreements ready for progression to a fee-earning role. After completion of the first 6-months, you will rotate directly into our established sales team under the guidance of one of our Senior Commercial Finance Brokers. You will benefit from 1-to-1 development for a further 6-12 months before becoming a fully fledged Commercial Finance Broker with a first full-year OTE of £65,000+. Once in a Commercial Finance Broker role, second and third year earnings will accelerate steeply, with top Graduate performers earning over £100,000 by year 3.
