Management Accountant

Management Accountant - Permanent - based in Milton Keynes MK5 (Hybrid working 3 days in the office)

This role is pivotal within a growing finance team. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will work alongside the Finance leadership team on various projects as well as undertaking a breadth of activities across the accounting function, including sales and purchase ledger, nominal ledger, balance sheet reconciliations.

This role will oversee a small team of Finance Officers, providing coaching, guidance and overall people management.

Our Management Accountant will also have ownership of all accounting elements which you will be exposure to critical financial impacts and ensuring a collaborative and proactive.This will also enable you to build close working relationships with internal departments.

Role

• Assist with preparation of Monthly Management Accounts to P&L and Balance Sheet
• Assist with and complete general accounts tasks (where required), including:
• Accruals & Reconciliation
• Inter-Company Invoicing & Reconciliation
• General Ledger management
• Journal Postings where required, i.e. prepayments, accruals, depreciation.
• Support supply chain with queries which arise on an ad-hoc basis
• To ensure that the Fixed Asset register is kept up to date
• Provide support to annual audit processes
• Undertaking financial administration and Internal audits/testing of controls
• Manage the accounting processes for the Umbrella payroll business
• Manage the accounting processes, including ensuring the supply chain is paid promptly.
• Liaising with the team and sharing ideas / improvement points

Person Specification:

• Enthusiastic, personable and excellent attention to detail
• High levels of accountability and a proactive mindset
• Providing mentoring and support to a team of developing Finance
• professionals
• AAT, CIMA or ACCA Part Qualified or Qualified
