Home Tutor Job Description: Are you a dedicated and qualified teacher with a passion for helping students excel in their studies? We are seeking a Home Tutor with expertise in KS3 and KS4, teaching Maths, English and additional subjects. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional one-on-one tutoring sessions to students, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the subject matter. Develop customised lesson plans and teaching materials that align with the national curriculum and cater to the unique learning needs of each student. Assess and regularly monitor the progress of your students, adjusting your teaching methods to maximise their learning outcomes. Create a positive and engaging learning environment that motivates students to excel. Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians to provide feedback on student progress and address any concerns. Keep accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance. Qualifications: Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification. Previous experience as a Home Tutor, particularly at the GCSE level, is highly desirable. Strong knowledge and expertise in Maths and English, with the ability to teach other subjects being a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual learning needs of each student. Working Hours: The working hours for this position are flexible and can be tailored to your availability. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time work, we can accommodate your schedule. The role includes 1 to 2 hours of planning time per student, depending on the length of tutoring sessions.
