Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer required. My client is a leading supplier of combustion and casting equipment globally. They are looking to bring onboard an experienced Design Engineer to provide Design calculations, CFD / FEA and Design drawings. The ideal candidate will come from a Mechanical Design background, have experience with Casting / Combustion equipment and will be based locally to Kingswinford. Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview Production of detailed design drawings and calculations Producing design deliverables including, but not limited to, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, combustion calculations, pneumatic calculation's, structural design calculations, Mechanical GAs and layouts Completing Designs using Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD Design calculations using Excel Use of CFD/FEA to develop and validate design work Selection of suitable components to allow accurate estimating Working collaboratively with other design departments Maintaining design input throughout the project lifecycle- from the feasibility stage, to outline and detail design, through to construction and handover Ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements 10 years previous experience in a Design focused role Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering Experience Designing capital equipment Previous experience with AutoCAD & Autodesk Inventor Experience designing Combustion equipment would be advantageous Based within a commutable distance of Kingswinford Full Driving licence Mechanical Design Engineer Position Remuneration Salary £40,000 - £45,000 DOE 8:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, 8:00 - 13:00 Friday 28 days holiday Private Medical cover Pension Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
