Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Mental Health Team (Initial MH Assessment) Location: Part office-based, part remote (London, UK) Contract: 3-month initial contract (with potential for long-term extension) Salary: £32 per hour (Negotiable up to £32 per hour based on experience) About Us: We are seeking dedicated and experienced Mental Health Social Workers to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, making a real difference in the lives of individuals with mental health conditions. While this role currently involves a mix of office and remote work, it provides the flexibility to work remotely from outside of London. As the situation evolves, we anticipate a gradual transition to more office-based work, ideally with candidates local to the area. Position Overview: As a Qualified Social Worker in our Mental Health Team, you will be responsible for conducting initial Mental Health assessments, managing a diverse caseload of clients aged 18 to 75, and working both within the community and hospital discharge settings. Your expertise in the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act will be crucial in providing high-quality support to individuals with mental health conditions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive needs assessments Develop and implement personalized support plans Perform mental capacity assessments Safeguard vulnerable adults Provide general case management Engage in duty work as required Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Social Worker with relevant certifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in local authority social work Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act Experience working with adults with mental health conditions in both community and hospital discharge settings Understanding of Delayed Transfer of Care (DTOC) processes Excellent assessment, support planning, and case management skills Working Conditions: 4 days remote work, 1 day in the office for duty (flexible and subject to change) Potential for remote work from outside of London (as circumstances allow) How to Apply: If you are a dedicated Mental Health Social Worker looking to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable adults, we would love to hear from you.
