Registered Children's Home Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in Merseyside for a Registered Children’s Home Manager with a specialism in EBD. You will report to the Head of Cared for Children, Care Leavers and Children’s Homes and the key focus of this role will be to set up the Home including recruitment of staff and residents and Ofsted readiness.   Registered Children’s Home Manager Initial 6-month interim contract (potential of extension) Merseyside, full-time Up to £450/day Inside IR35 and paid through FCSA Umbrella   About your duties as the Registered Children’s Home Manager, Children’s Social Care:  To lead and manage the development and shaping of the home, ensuring dynamic plans for the children and young people. Ensure the Home is Ofsted ready and staff are recruited for the Home. Responsibility for identifying the complex needs of the children and young people and providing additional therapeutic support when required. Safeguarding and promotion of well-being for those who reside within the home. Ensuring the home complies with the Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) Ensuring that the staff have training and development opportunities to enable them to be fully skilled within their fields and understand what Ofsted “Good” looks like  Your experience needed as the Registered Children’s Home Manager, Children’s Social Care:  Must have a Level 5 Children’s Home Management Qualification. Hold Level 5 Leadership and Management Training. Must have been a Registered Manager (with Ofsted) previously. Proven track record as Registered Manager in a children’s home. Must have a detailed knowledge and understanding of EBD.
