Asbestos Surveyor Location: London Salary: Up to £41,000 Due to continued growth, our client, a reputable environmental consultancy is currently looking for Asbestos Surveyors to join their team around London and surrounding areas. Our client has secured an impressive amount of exciting long-term local contracts, so they are keen to recruit experienced Asbestos Surveyors from all backgrounds – whether you’re a commercial, nuclear, industrial or housing specialist. If you’re also looking to move into different sectors – then they would also love to hear from you. The role: * Providing high quality surveying services to a range of clients, mostly on commercial focused contracts. This includes undertaking management and refurbishment & demolition surveys and taking bulk samples. * Providing clearly presented and well written site notes on the tablet. * Ensuring reports are completed in accordance with timescales set and to the required standard. * Compiling recommendations and technically reviewing reports. * Working with the management and scheduling teams to ensure the correct levels of productivity and flexibility. * Attending regular training and social days (held three times a year). * Attending operational team meetings as and when required to collectively learn from combined experiences. * Working with the auditing and quality teams and procedures to ensure exceptional client service and to assist in the retention of the businesses UKAS accreditation. * Being alert to new business opportunities and promoting the services of the group. * Carrying out any other duties required to achieve personal continuous professional development and the company’s objectives. We’re looking for: * BOHS P402 qualification (or RSPH Level 3) * Other BOHS qualifications or training (First Aid, MEWP, Confined Spaces etc) would be a useful bonus, but not essential as additional training will be provided when needed. * Minimum 6 months experience working in a UKAS accredited environment in an asbestos surveying position. * Reasonable understanding of the basic use of IT including tablets and smart phones and the ability to learn new processes. * Positive, organised and punctual * Quality focused and an eye for detail. * Ability to work on own initiative, with flexibility and responsiveness to work requests. * Full UK Driving Licence Company benefits: * Salary up to £41,000 depending on experience * Welcome bonus and retention bonus offered * Optional overtime opportunities paid at an enhanced rate. * 23 Days annual leave, plus bank holidays * Company vehicle provided * Contributory pension and salary sacrifice scheme * Access to online discount and benefits website. * Excellent progression and development opportunity, with extensive training prospects. * Regular training days and social activities
