VOIP & Unified Comms Field Engineer (UK and overseas)


Job Title: VOIP & Unified Communications Field Engineer Location: Northwest based but Nationwide (Extensive national and international travel required) Salary: £33,000 to £38,000 (Dependent upon experience) Benefits: 22 days holiday per annum (increasing by one day per year up to a maximum of 25 days) plus 8 bank holidays, Company Pension Scheme, Employee Assistance Programme Our client is a leading global provider of specialized voice and data solutions for the Hospitality Industry. As a Field Engineer you will play a crucial role in the success of our global deployment activities. This position requires practical experience in installing, testing, and repairing a diverse range of equipment. Adaptability and efficiency in addressing challenges are essential to ensure the delivery of exceptional service to our customers with minimal disruption. Major Responsibilities: Conduct, review, and document site surveys Install, test, maintain, and repair equipment and systems Solve problems, assess situations, and apply solutions using acquired voice and data knowledge Configure and prebuild voice and data solutions before installation at customer premises Create accurate and timely project documentation Respond to emergency calls, providing on-site and remote support to customers outside regular hours Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships Provide training, coaching, and professional development to junior team members Complete required training for the role Perform any other duties dictated by business needsSkills and Experience: In-depth knowledge of telecommunication equipment and services Competency in all aspects of associated cabling works Ability to work with an understanding of circuitry, installation, and government compliance Adherence to relevant safe working practices and risk assessment Maintenance of technical or professional qualifications required for the roleSuccessful Applicants: The successful candidate must demonstrate proven experience in a similar role, showcasing attention to detail and pride in their work.
