Handyperson

Murray Recruitment have a new position available for a Handyperson to join a leading FM provider for a permanent position in Fife. Your role will be based looking after multiple buildings within the one commercial contract covering sites mainly in Fife with the odd travel every now and again to Stirling/ Falkirk if needed. Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance of the building fabric for all associated commercial buildings. Main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: * Responsible for carrying out mainly fabric and general building maintenance. * Provide support to other trades where possible. * To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works within set time frames so that the client expectations are met. * Assisting with general repairs across the commercial sites which include: repairing / replacing doors, windows, skirtings, walls. * Dealing with daily requests from internal staff and the client as required. * Development and management of all on-going maintenance programs. * To take a pro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to senior management as necessary. * Escort contractors throughout the building. * Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: * Experienced general building maintenance / handyperson / fabric joiner. * Experience of carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance. * Previous experience working within a busy FM environment. * Full driving licence. * Full Disclosure Scotland and background check required as this is a contractual requirement. Salary: * Up to £31,000. * Mobile. * Uniform. * Overtime. * Holidays 32 days. * Pension. * Hours: Monday – Friday 8am - 4.30pm.
