Senior Estimator - New Build Residential

Title: Senior Estimator – Residential Start: ASAP Type: Permanent Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 Location: Wrexham About: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Wrexham. They are a Wrexham based construction company, with sites currently in North Wales, Mid Wales and Cheshire. They focus on building quality, high specification projects. They create new build houses and apartment blocks along with Health Care Centres and Residential Homes. They are looking for a talented senior estimator to join our commercial team to work on our significant new business pipeline. Responsibilities: * Produce tenders for new projects * Production of accurate take offs for projects. * Production and update of procurement schedules for all projects. * Prepare the required documents to issue to subcontractors to enable them to tender effectively for works packages. * Identify appropriate subcontractors for all aspects of works. * Assist in the financial appraisal of new opportunities. * Works closely with architects and other professionals. * Navigates and understands building codes. * Processes paperwork and travels to building sites as required. * Monitors construction processes. Senior Estimator Qualifications and Skills: * Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic * Ability to navigate specifications and plans * Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects * Ability to handle multiple assignments at once * Knowledge of the latest building codes * Close attention to detail * Excellent written and verbal communication skills Benefits for you: * Fuel Card * Car Allowance * Government Standard Pension Education and Experience Requirements: * Professional qualifications or experience in quantity surveying / building estimation * A proven track record of estimating projects for residential dwellings over £3m. * Ideally experience in working within affordable housing markets. * Timber Frame and Traditional Build experience desirable Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday If this job description is appealing to you please apply or email me at Jamie @ huntermasonconsulting . com
