Management Accountant


Your new company A leading manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Management Accountant/ Accounts Manager to join their team. As a key player the role of the Management Accountant/ Accounts Manager is to support the Group Financial Controller and Site Leadership Team to achieve the local objectives by managing a professional finance team which will be responsible for site transactional finance responsibilities and support strategic projects as needed. Your new role Providing accurate up-to-date financial information in a timely manner, managing the Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Payroll Fixed Assets and Cashflow. A key KPI is Debtor Days and cost adherence. All aspects of management responsibility for Site Finance Team. Working with Group Financial Controller and Site Leadership Team to produce accurate and up[1]to-date Financial Data to Group Deadlines (eg) in accordance with business review schedule. Ensuring site compliance integrity for company policies/procedures associated to the purchasing of items/services including Purchase Requisitions, Expenses, Barclaycard and Petty cash. Reconciling site bank account at least monthly, working with Group Financial Controller on cashflow. Manage Site Purchase Ledger, paying suppliers as per agreed credit terms. Manage Site Sales Ledger, Credit Control, flagging any serious credit control issues to appropriate people. Review customers credit limits and credit reports on a regular basis, never 2 exceeding one year. Manage Site Payroll including Salaries and Wages making sure everyone is paid correctly accordance to company policy, contractual obligations, and Government requirements. Working with Group Financial Controller to fulfil all site regulatory requirements included but not limited to PAYE, RTI, Pension, Office for National Stats, Benefit in Kind Information, P45s and  VAT. Prepare, assist, and be involved in the Annual Accounting Audit. Audit and be involved in the Site Stock System. Part of a team to deliver a computerised stock system. Manage site company cars and any other Benefits in Kind. Maintain/create a computerised Fixed Asset System that is always up to date. Review of authorised Site Capital Expenditure projects, highlighting adherence to budget performance to nominated Project Managers. Work closely with site logistics and Direct purchasing officer and Group Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager making sure expenditure fits within budgets. What you'll need to succeed • Established knowledge within a finance environment. • Knowledge of a manufacturing/production environment (desirable) • Up-to-date Knowledge of relevant Accountancy requirements. • Some understanding of a chemical/ surface treatment environment (desirable). • Ability to take direction, learn and apply knowledge in a changing operating environment. Experience • Previous experience working in SME Environment. • Heading a Finance team of a minimum of 3 employees. • Working to Strict Deadlines. • Accounting Software, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control, payroll, Cash Flow Management.
