Business Development Manager


Business Development Manager Salary: £40-£45k per annum plus car allowance & bonuses Location: NW - Manchester and Leeds Type: Permanent A leading property service contractor requires an experienced Business Development Manager within social housing to take lead in generating enough volume and value enquiries to grow the business across Warrington and Leeds. The core task is ensuring you are developing significant relationships with key clients across the region in generating new business and maintaining existing client accounts. You will have the added benefit of entertaining clients at luxurious locations upon agreement as such you will embark on regular travel across Warrington and Leeds with minimal requirements to be office based. Summary of your role: • Identify new business opportunities & maintain existing accounts by implementing in house strategy. • Develop new relationships in value and volume to drive business growth. • Make regular visits to new and existing clients. • Prepare regular Monthly Sales Report & conduct branch reviews. • Work closely with other departments and operatives within the business such as Branch managers, Digital Marketing team and Bid team to enhance efficient business output. • Conduct regular job reviews and provide valuable feedback. • Take regular steps to be familiar with various applications utilised by clients and maintain IT proficiency. • Attend/organise lunches, dinners, seminars, light entertainment, or events with prior authorisation from Head of Sales What we require from you? • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in business development roles in Construction Industry (essential) • Proven experience in selling services to Local Authorities, Housing Associations, or the Education sector across the region. (essential) • Degree qualification in Business, Construction, Sales, or Marketing (preferable) • Proven experience in managing multiple clients (new and existing) • Full UK Driving Licence The ideal candidate: • Excellent communication and networking skills • Extreme discipline and organisation in scheduling your pipeline and calendar ensuring you are on top of each business opportunity. • Proactive, energetic, and hungry for success • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
