Technical Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager to join a Mechanical and Electrical Services Consultancy based in their Wilmslow office.    This offers an exciting opportunity to join a practice with big plans to continue their rapid growth in the upcoming years! Hence, it is of paramount importance for candidates to share this passion that is the bedrock of the company.    Specialising in a wide range of services, the practice has built a reputation of expertise in Sustainable Building Design, including Energy Compliance, Low Energy Building Design, Mechanical & Electrical Design, Utilities Design & Procurement, Renewable Energy Design, and M&E Project Management.     They currently work on a variety of sustainable projects, most notably Passivhaus Designs, Low Carbon Homes, and Low Energy Retrofits. They are now recruiting for a Technical Manager to lead the development of the Low Energy Building Team, as well as be responsible for driving growth within the business through successful project delivery.    If successful, you will be joining 12 other dynamic and experienced colleagues as well as the office dog, given the prestigious title of Chief Security Officer! As part of the induction to the practice, you will be prescribed a full training program, as well as being offered continuous professional development throughout the year to ensure career progression remains at the centre of the business’ values.     This role is comprised of a diverse workload with responsibilities ranging from developing and improving technical systems within the business to providing expert knowledge in the Energy Consulting sector. Furthermore, candidates will need strong communication and problem-solving skills to meet strategic company objectives in addition to maintaining strong relationships with clients.    Applicants should have at least two years’ experience in managing technical teams and minimum five years’ in energy consulting in the building sector.
