Remote Position - Underwriting Analyst * Crewe offer for REMOTE or HYBRID available * £35,000 - £45,000 - Experience Depending * 37.5 Hours a week * Reports to : Financial Controller My client who is the UKs leading provider and administrator of Vehicle Service Plans & Warranty Claims based in Crewe is looking for a Underwriting Analyst to join their welcoming team. The Underwriting Analyst will be responsible for our maintenance plan team. You'll support customer benefits such as warranty, bodywork, tyres, MOT cover, alloy wheels, and breakdown assistance. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll ensure compliance, maintain underwriting data, price for new and existing clients, and enhance overall efficiency. The Underwriting Analyst will be responsible for: * Analyse and propose pricing for new business opportunities, assessing associated risks. * Understand and report on risks related to client funds, fund management, and associated factors like burn rates. * Be aware of and understand the annual business plan for the maintenance plan division. * Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. * Contribute to developing new tools for analysing individual risks within funds. * Follow underwriting standards and good practice to minimise risk and enhance efficiency within set time frames. * Contribute to recording and measuring risks to accurately manage funds and adhere to performance standards. * Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders for collaborative work. * Capture accurate underwriting data on systems to minimise risk and ensure high-quality information output. * Prepare documents to establish and maintain accurate records. * Assist in producing management information statistics and reports for business planning. * Present preliminary findings and conclusions to business stakeholders. * Prepare and deliver targeted analysis on client burn rates. The Minimum Requirements for this Underwriting Analyst vacancy include: * Minimum 3-years experience required in underwriting * Proficient in analytical thinking and problem-solving. * Ideally, experience in Financial Services. * Understanding of FCA regulations. * Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and relevant software.
