The business are a well-established pump and valve manufacturer based in Brighouse, renowned for delivering high-performance, long-life solutions to critical industries worldwide.

They are seeking a Senior Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement activities, drive cost savings, and strengthen supplier relationships within a fast-paced, technically complex environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement activities including supplier negotiations, contract management, and sourcing strategies.

• Develop and implement cost-effective procurement solutions aligned with business objectives.

• Conduct market analysis to identify trends and new sourcing opportunities.

• Manage supplier relationships, ensuring high levels of service, quality, and delivery performance.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, operations, and project management.

• Maintain accurate procurement records and utilise procurement software for efficiency.

About You:

• Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and strategic sourcing.

• Strong negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to conduct market research and trend analysis.

• Effective communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally.

• Highly organised, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement systems; experience with valves, fluid control, or engineered manufacturing products is advantageous.

• CIPS Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
