Welder Fabricator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. The Fabricator/Welder will play a crucial part in assembling components and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

• Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to fabricate metal components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine the correct materials and processes required.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and improve processes.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process.

Requirements

• Proven experience in welding, particularly stick welding, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to metal fabrication.
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience working with sheet metal is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
